New LED Upgrades Facilitate Sea-Finding in Sea Turtles

　　These fixtures are typically found in hotel pool and patio spaces, oceanfront walkways, coastal multifamily, and higher education facilities.

　　The turtle friendly upgrades facilitate sea-finding behavior in hatching turtles, and feature an Osram DURIS P5 amber LED, at 590 nanometer wavelength. The turtle friendly LED upgrades install in minutes inside existing fixtures, eliminating the need for ongoing lamp and ballast replacements. Patented thermal foldback technology allows maximum light output in any ambient temperature while assuring long-term reliability.

　　All three sizes of the turtle friendly LED retrofit meet UL 1598C safety requirements for field installation, as well as Florida State Wildlife Lighting Certification, IP65, and comply with requirements for the Buy American Act. The turtle friendly LED upgrades feature a five year warranty, even when installed in outdoor rated and completely sealed step light fixtures.
