The Kerzner-managed One&Only Ocean Club on Paradise Island in the Bahamas will be rebranded as a Four Seasons, effective Nov. 30.
Kerzner said property owner Access Industries terminated their management agreement, and that it "objects to the grounds of the termination and intends to vigorously oppose it through the standard process and protocols."
With the management change, the resort will be called the Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort, Bahamas.
The 100-room resort, which opened in 1962, is set on a five-mile stretch of beach and features a range of accommodations including several cottages and villas.
In a statement, Kerzner said, "One&Only is thrilled to have welcomed so many guests to the resort over the past 23 years. We have been one of the pioneers of Bahamian tourism, having introduced ultra-luxury to the island in 1994. We are proud of One&Only’s continued contributions to the success of the Bahamas, Ocean Club, and the local community."
Access Industries acquired the resort in 2014 and did a multimillion-dollar renovation.
Four Seasons has Caribbean resorts in Nevis and Anguilla. The Anguilla resort aims to reopen in early 2018, following damage from Hurricane Irma in September.
