Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is already the largest U.S.-based hotel company in China, with more than 1,400 hotels in the country. This week, Wyndham opened its 100th Ramada by Wyndham location there, the 194-room Ramada Plaza Fuxian Lake.
When Wyndham acquired the international rights to the Ramada flag in 2004, the brand had only 14 hotels in China. Since then, the company has opened Ramada hotels in Shanghai, Beijing, Xiamen and Chongqing, among others. The brand’s current footprint consists of more than 850 locations around the world.
