More than three quarters (76 percent) of cleaning industry professionals expect their sector to grow, according to a recent survey commissioned by Procter & Gamble (P&G) Professional.
In compiling its fourth-annual cleaning industry insights survey, P&G polled more than 400 cleaning-industry professionals and key decision makers across four business markets: commercial, food service, health care, and hospitality/lodging cleaning. Food service is predicted to have the most gains, with 85 percent of respondents from that sector expecting their business to improve in the next 12 months.
The survey also found most cleaning professionals (78 percent) feel pressured by their customers to keep costs down and improve cleaning efficiency. Almost half of the respondents (47 percent) stated that they were able to increase their business’s efficiency by reducing turnover and improving staff training.
